New Story

im doing a spin-off of Aleronssword's Data Supreme story and my character is an assassin. here's a little excerpt i thought of on my way home from work:

Breathe in. Breathe out. I think to myself as i steady my breathing after running to the cliff edge. I lay down and place my rifle just in front of me as i take aim, finger hovering over the safety. Breathe in. Breathe out. I scan the crowd for my target, my scope identifying him for me. The reticule rests just under the targets collar bone as the target stands in front of a group of troopers, giving a speech. I grab a magazine from my waist belt with my left hand and start bringing it toward my rifle. Breathe in, Breathe out. The four round magazine slide home with a barely audible click as it locks into place. Breathe in... Breathe out... I gently pull on the charging mechanism to chamber a round quietly into the modified SRS99. *ssssssssssk..... * I slowly push it back into place, the round chambered and ready to fire. *ssssssskak.* Breathe in..... Breathe out.... I look up from my perch just under four miles away, surrounded by brush and trees, my armors active camouflage making both me and my gun invisible. Breathe in....... Breathe out...... I look back through the scope as my helmet reads this and auto zooms for me. I click the safety off quietly and rest my finger on the trigger. Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in... Breathe out.... Breathe in..... Breathe out. I move my left hand just under the thumb hole stock to help steady the rifle Here we go.... Breathe in...... I take the shot....
